Page Personnel are working alongside a very successful company based in Chorley. They are seeking a meticulous Purchase Ledger Clerk to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets in the Accounting & Finance department of a well-established transport & distribution company located in Chorley.

Description

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Accurately processing invoices and completing payment runs.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and handling queries.
  • Handling petty cash and processing staff expenses.
  • Assisting in the preparation of month-end reports.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor files and file numbers.
  • Preparing analyses of accounts, as required.
  • Supporting the wider finance team as required.
  • Complying with all company and governmental financial regulations.

Profile

A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:

  • A strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • The ability to work with large volumes of data.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
