SRG is working with a leading personal care and sun care manufacturer based in Lancashire. This company lives by their values and have a fantastic company culture. They are now looking for a Development Chemist to join the team. The role involves developing and formulating new products from concept to production, line extensions, manufacturing and scaling up samples, preparation and analysis of samples using wet chemistry testing ensuring regulatory compliance on all projects. This role would suit candidates with 2+ years industrial experience within the personal care, skincare and sun care industry.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 38hours per week. Flexible start and finish times 28days holiday + Bank holidays


Role / Description

  • Lead technical projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Use a variety of wet chemistry techniques to Formulate and develop leading personal care and sun care products
  • Develop and launch new products into the market while ensuring products meet the regulatory requirements
  • Develop initial lab batches of samples to then be manufactured and scaled up
  • Take customer briefs from concept to production
  • Evaluate and modify product formulations while assessing the current ingredients

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Chemistry or cosmetic science
  • RECENT experience formulating and developing personal care/skincare/sun care products
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes
  • Full right to work in the UK - there is no sponsorship available for this role
