With decades of expertise, we are trusted advisors on arboriculture, horticulture, and environmental compliance. Since transitioning to second-generation leadership four years ago, our client has grown by over 60%, employing 31 staff and supporting a strong local supply chain. The Role:

As the Commercial Manager of Landscaping, you will oversee estimating, tendering, and managing the commercial aspects of our contracts. Working closely with the Contracts Manager, you'll ensure smooth project scheduling, address minor works, variations, and customer care tasks in the fast-paced construction environment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll be a key player in driving the commercial success of the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pricing and bidding for new landscaping works with both new and existing clients.

  • Develop and manage project-specific bills of quantities, tracking progress and ensuring efficiency and profitability.

  • Manage quotes for minor works, variations, and customer care tasks, collaborating with the Contracts Manager for scheduling.

  • Work with the Office Manager to track project profitability, refining our pricing strategies.

  • Handle invoicing and applications for payment according to contract terms.

  • Manage our customer care database, ensuring outstanding and responsive service.

  • Process and Systems-Driven: You excel at breaking down new challenges into steps, creating standardised systems and processes that can be scaled and improved over time.

  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with job management systems and applications is a plus, as these tools will be central to your work.

  • Commercially Smart: Understanding pricing, costs, and margins is key. Our impact depends on being sustainably profitable, so we need someone with strong commercial instincts.

  • Construction Knowledge: A solid grasp of how contracts and subcontracts work in practice is ideal.
