Empower Housing Association (EHA) was founded in 2003, to provide specialist housing for adults with disabilities enabling them to live independently within their community. EHA work collaboratively with families, Local Authorities and other key stakeholders, to find the right home for their tenants. Currently, EHA provide housing to over 450 tenants.

The Role: Empower Housing - Maintenance Team Supervisor

  • The role of the Maintenance Team Supervisor is to support the Property and Compliance Manager in the delivery of the repairs & maintenance service. Manage day to day repairs including external contractors and a small team of maintenance technicians in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and value for money services.
  • To carry out property inspections to ensure our properties remain safe, secure, and in good condition for our tenants.
  • To work as part of the in house maintenance team and carry out repairs - on occasion.

The Person: Empower Housing - Maintenance Team Supervisor

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade - E
  • City and Guilds or similar certification in property maintenance or surveying - D
  • H&S qualification, e.g. SMSTS, IOSHH (or working to) - D
  • Experience working as a tradesperson ideally in social housing or supported housing - E
  • Experience of relevant legislation and Regulation - E
  • Knowledge and understanding of the social housing sector - E
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing - E
  • Experience of working in a customer focussed environment - E
  • Experience of line management - E
  • Repairs and maintenance technical knowledge including job costing - D
