PMLD Teaching Assistant - Chorley:

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a caring and compassionate teaching to join a school near to Chorley. You will supporting children with complex needs.

Although experience working with special needs in a school setting is preferred, any personal or professional experience supporting complex needs is what actually matters in this role to care and nurture for the individual.

Position Details:

  • Position: PMLD TA
  • Location: Chorley
  • Hours: 8:45am-3pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £85 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: Feb 2025
  • End date: Ongoing
  • The Role:

    • Assisting with personal care
    • Working with challenging behaviours
    • Building rapport with students, parents and staff

    Experience, Training & Qualifications:

    • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
    • Previous experience supporting children with complex needs
    • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is highly desired

    TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

    • Hold Right to Work in the UK
    • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
    • Provide two professional references
