We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team starting in January 2025. This role involves working on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 4 who has ASD and ADHD, providing tailored support under the guidance of an EHCP. This is a rewarding opportunity in a nurturing environment, with no behavioural issues reported.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide one-on-one support to a child with ASD and ADHD, ensuring they engage effectively in their learning activities.
  • Implement strategies and support as outlined in the child’s EHCP, adapting to their educational needs.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages the child’s social and academic development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to enhance the learning experience of the child.
  • Monitor and report on the child’s progress to teachers and parents, providing feedback and suggestions for further support.
  • Ensure the child’s safety and well-being during school hours.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children with ASD and ADHD is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of the needs and educational strategies for children under EHCPs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with children, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
