Your new companyHays education are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant job at a primary school in the Chorley area with a January start to work 5 days a week in Y1. This school has an excellent reputation within the local community for the level of support and education they provide for their pupils. It is a happy and caring school with a nurturing environment where all staff work together to ensure the best outcomes for all its pupils. Your new roleThis job will see you working within Y1 providing general support to the class as well as assisting the class teacher. This role is crucial in helping EYFS pupils develop their learning. You may be required to work with separate groups or work on a 1:1 basis with children that may be struggling. You may need to provide additional support in phonics, reading and writing. You should be confident in working with various ability pupils and immersing yourself in daily activities. EYFS experience is a requirement for this job role.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
