We are seeking a Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at a local school in Chorley. The role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until Easter, covering a period of maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about contributing to the development and education of young children.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist in the delivery of creative and engaging educational activities for nursery-aged children.
- Support the classroom teacher in preparing materials and setting up the learning environment.
- Observe and monitor children’s progress, and report any concerns to the classroom teacher.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised classroom that fosters children’s learning and development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among the children.
- Assist with the supervision of children during playtime and lunchtime.
- Provide one-to-one support to children with additional needs, as required.
- Engage with parents and guardians to support children’s learning and development at home.
- Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Nursery Teaching Assistant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- A commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating educational environment.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Competitive hourly rate of £15.09.
- Set working hours from 8.30am to 3.15pm each day.
