Your Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
- Collaborate with children individually or in small groups to enhance their learning.
- Serve as a positive role model for both students and colleagues.
- Foster positive relationships with children and their families.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members, including specialists.
- Assist the class teacher in resource preparation and activity setup.
Responsibilities:
- Help prepare a lesson and tidy the classroom afterwards
- Provide assistance with lesson plans
- Support children across the curriculum
- Give extra support to children with special needs
- Help mark work
- Report student progress
- Help look after the children during school trips and activities
- Look after children that are unwell
- Attend meetings
- Confidence in guiding individuals or small groups.
- A positive attitude and effective communication skills.
Essential requirements:
- Experience working with young people
- Class management skills
- Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
- Able to engage with and motivate children
- TA Qualified
