We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing nursery in Chorley. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education, particularly in supporting pre-school children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the delivery of daily activities that support the educational and developmental needs of pre-school children, with a focus on SEN.
  • Work closely with the nursery staff to implement educational programs and activities that cater to the needs of all children.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with SEN, ensuring they are integrated effectively into learning activities.
  • Monitor and support the children’s progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and other staff members.
  • Help prepare materials and resources for daily activities and ensure a safe and tidy environment for the children.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, preferably within an early years setting.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of pre-school children, including those with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
