Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with severe learning disabilities? We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Chorley.
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Chorley
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-time
Daily Rate: 88 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Role Overview:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with severe learning disabilities (SLD) and challenging behaviour.
  • Assist in developing and implementing tailored learning plans to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence and confidence.
  • Support with daily activities and routines, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver holistic education and care.


Requirements:

  • Experience working with severe learning disabilities (SLD) and challenging behaviour is essential.
  • Must have a valid driving license for potential school trips or outreach work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and patient approach.
