About the Role: 

A highly valued and leading law firm in Lancashire is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join its expanding team in Chorley. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career at a cutting-edge, modern firm. If you have two or more years of experience or comparable experience handling a range of conveyancing cases, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a Solicitor in managing a broad range of conveyancing work, including freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, and re-mortgages
  • Progress files and work closely with the Conveyancer to complete tasks such as AML checks and conducting mortgage reports
  • Draft legal document packs and submit SDLT forms

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Conveyancing Assistant in a Residential or Commercial Conveyancing Department
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with a case management system
  • Positive and collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
  • Highly organised and able to manage tasks efficiently
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skill
