We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permit Officer in the Nuclear industry to take responsibility for managing and administering the permit to work system during the testing and commissioning phases of a project. This role is expected to be OUTSIDE IR35 (subject to CEST test).

This role involves ensuring safe system configurations, overseeing work activities, and maintaining compliance with health and safety protocols to facilitate a secure working environment.

This position would suit individuals with a strong background in health and safety, particularly those with experience in permit to work systems. Candidates should be proactive in ensuring safety compliance and possess excellent communication skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess work tasks to ensure appropriate safety measures are in place.
  • Provide site inductions and training on the permit to work system.
  • Administer and manage the permit to work process throughout the project duration.
  • Facilitate isolation of equipment to maintain safety during work activities.
  • Record incidents or near misses and report to the EHS team.


In return you'll receive a rate up to 50/hr ltd for an 18 month contract.
