My client a well established engineering company based in Chorley is currently seeking a skilled Business Administrator to join their team in managing the administrative tasks of the office. The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. This position is a temporary role for around 4 months starting Monday 9th September.

Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-3pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for all telephone enquiries, maintaining a high level of customer service, directing calls and taking detailed messages as required.
  • Meet and greet visitors in the building
  • Manage and maintain internal purchase request tracker and delivery tracker.
  • Raise supplier purchase orders and chase all outstanding deliveries.
  • Manage all goods in and out of the business.
  • Prepare job information sheets for upcoming service jobs.
  • Procurement of office supplies.
  • Any other reasonable requests made by the director or line management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent phone etiquette skills
  • Strong data entry abilities
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Proficiency in general office tasks
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently
  • Competency in using Google Suite applications
