Occupational Therapist

Preston & Chorley

As an Occupational Therapist you will be working with up to 60 young people who have autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

You will be based at a school in Chorley and will be required to work across two specialist ASD schools and offer support to our residential provisions in the Chorley and Preston area.

You will collaborate as a team to enhance the lives of the young people we serve, both within the school settings and across the four children's homes in the local area.

The role includes conducting assessments to identify the needs of our young people, monitoring their progress, performing observations, offering sensory recommendations, and providing direct therapeutic interventions to train our staff.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and have HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with Autism & severe learning disabilities.
