Behaviour mentor needed for a SEMH school in Chorley

A Social Emotional Mental Health provision in Chorley are looking for an experienced behaviour mentor to join their support staff. This school are seeking staff to support key stage 2 and 3 students who have social, emotional, mental health and behaviour associated needs. This school has a key focus on sport and therefore individuals with a sporting background will be desirable. As this is a relatively small school, they are keen to employ someone who can slot straight into their tight knit team. Therefore personality, motivation and additional skills are important.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with special educational needs (Career or personal)
  • A passion for working within education
  • A positive, creative, and proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
