Working for a leading global supplier of small electrical appliances we are looking for a QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN to join the team located in Chorley.

This is a full time Permanent position, Monday to Friday 7am -3pm, 25,000- 26,000.

Reporting into the Quality Control Manager you will be working as part of a driven focused team to quality check electrical appliances to recognise and report on any electrical and cosmetic faults.

If you have experience in testing electrical equipment, pat testing, a good understanding of basic electrical principles this would be an advantage however NOT essential. We ARE looking for an individual with the desire to work as a team, able to use strong attention to detail to identify faults in returned products and before going out to customers. Able to use MS office for completing reports and general administration.

Our client would also be happy to put individuals through a Pat testing course.

Responsibilities

* Work as a team under the supervision of Quality Supervisor to report issues.

* Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any repairs where necessary.

* Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.

* These inspections include basic electrical safety via PAT testing and overall product quality inspections.

* Write reports and submit the same to the Quality Supervisor.

* Ensure all internal and customer standards are achieved and maintained.

* To monitor deliveries and returns of Electrical products and to take action to define the cause(s) of any fault.

* Assist the Quality Team as a whole in order to meet team objectives as and when required

You will

* Have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team as required.

* Ability to follow instructions and set procedures

* Ability to communicate effectively

* Maintain a safe and clean environment

* Good level of IT Skills

* Use electrical equipment and testing equipment competently - ideally

* Have a good understanding of electronic principles with the ability to read and understand exploded views, technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics - would be great to have not essential.
