Your new companyHays are currently looking for a Year 2 Teacher to place in a primary school within the Chorley area. It will be February until Easter, there is the potential for this role to be extended for the right candidate. This could be the perfect opportunity for someone looking to be in a more local school for them or for an ECT to gain more experience within KS1. The school are keen to have a passionate and dedicated teacher to join the strong support staff network of the school and push students to reach their potential. The school has a rich and diverse curriculum and aims to promote the wellbeing of its pupils.Your new roleDuring your time in this role you will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver fun and engaging lessons and activities for your pupils and prepare them to enter KS2. You will be required to mark and assess pupil work, amending the work when needed to suit different ability. This could be an exciting opportunity for an ECT to lead their own diverse KS1 class. You should ideally possess recent experience working in KS1 and should be comfortable supporting SEN children in the class. There will be a class TA present for you to work alongside. You will want to strive for academic growth for the children in your class and be confident in managing challenging behaviour to keep pupils on track.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have good knowledge of the KS1 Curriculum. You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills.
