Junior Quality Inspector Required!
Our client is a global, market leader in the design, development and manufacturing of drinks dispensing products. Due to their ongoing growth, they have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Quality Inspector to join their team.
The successful candidate will have recently completed an apprenticeship within manufacturing or engineering and have experience working with metal materials and components.
Junior Quality Inspector - Position Overview
- Carry out goods' inward inspection of materials from suppliers, ensuring compliance to design specifications and contractual requirements.
- Process and report reject parts and correspond with suppliers to fulfil CAR reports.
- Monitor manufacturing and assembly of our internal operations to ensure quality standards are maintained and to introduce product and process improvements.
- Quality inspection of incoming materials in accordance with the quality system & procedures
- Quarantine, inspection, and processing of non-conforming materials.
- Raising Non-conformance Records within the system where appropriate.
- Monitor first-off operator inspection to ensure parts are machined to drawing.
- Polishing inspection to ensure the desired finish is being achieved.
- Inspection of flatbed print, roll fed digital print, over doming, lamination and wrapping.
- Inspection of finished goods built on the shop floor and in print room.
- Identifying and implementing product and process improvement
- Prepare quality documents for goods-in inspection and SOPs for products and assembly.
- Receipt and inspection of customer returned products.
Junior Quality Inspector - Position Requirements
- Completed an apprenticeship in manufacturing/engineering
- Experience working with metals
- Ability to read and interpret component and assembly drawings.
- Some experience within quality is desirable
- Willingness to learn.
Junior Quality Inspector - Position Remuneration
- Salary: £25K-£28K
- Hours: Mon - Thurs 8am - 4.30pm Friday 8am - 1pm
- Pension
- 25 days holiday + Bank
