Quality Inspector - Company Overview

Our client is a leading Precision Engineering company who are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to ensure their products meet the highest possible standards.

As Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in inspecting Raw Materials, Goods In, and Manufactured Components, ensuring they align with customer specifications and quality standards.

Quality Inspector - Roles & Responsibilities

Complete goods' inward inspection of all supplier materials, completing CARs when required.
Inspect finished goods to verify they meet the final quality requirements.
Process and report rejected parts, Raise Non-Conformance Records, and track resolutions.
Receive and inspect customer-returned products, documenting and addressing any issues discovered.
Overseeing the Machine room, Polishing operations, Assemble, Printing and Stores areas, implementing corrective action and improvement techniques.
Liaise with suppliers to complete Corrective Action Reports.
Monitor manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for product and process improvements.
Oversee first-off inspections to confirm that machined parts meet engineering drawings and specifications.
Prepare and maintain quality documentation for inspections and SOPs.

Quality Inspector - Skills & Experience

Proven background in a Quality Inspection or similar position.
Previous experience in a machining position, particularly in the production of metal components.
Strong understanding of technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and GD&T.
Experience with measuring equipment such as micrometres, callipers, gauges, and CMM machines.
Solid knowledge and experience with Quality Standards - ISO9001.
Able to work pro-actively, off own initiative.
Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with varied responsibilities.
