Quality Inspector - Company Overview

Our client is a leading Precision Engineering company who are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to ensure their products meet the highest possible standards.

As Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in inspecting Raw Materials, Goods In, and Manufactured Components, ensuring they align with customer specifications and quality standards.

Quality Inspector - Roles & Responsibilities

  • Complete goods' inward inspection of all supplier materials, completing CARs when required.
  • Inspect finished goods to verify they meet the final quality requirements.
  • Process and report rejected parts, Raise Non-Conformance Records, and track resolutions.
  • Receive and inspect customer-returned products, documenting and addressing any issues discovered.
  • Overseeing the Machine room, Polishing operations, Assemble, Printing and Stores areas, implementing corrective action and improvement techniques.
  • Liaise with suppliers to complete Corrective Action Reports.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Oversee first-off inspections to confirm that machined parts meet engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation for inspections and SOPs.

Quality Inspector - Skills & Experience

  • Proven background in a Quality Inspection or similar position.
  • Previous experience in a machining position, particularly in the production of metal components.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Experience with measuring equipment such as micrometres, callipers, gauges, and CMM machines.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with Quality Standards - ISO9001.
  • Able to work pro-actively, off own initiative.
  • Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with varied responsibilities.
