Procurement Lead

Job title: Portfolio Procurement Lead
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £45,000 per annum (flexibility depending on experience)
Location: Chorley - Hybrid available
Hours of work: 37 hours Monday to Thursday

Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Nuclear or other highly regulated industry experience
- Must have an adaptable, patient and positive attitude
- CIPS qualified level 4
- Extensive contract drafting experience
- Strong negotiating skills
- Experience of RFQ/ITT processes and principles

Ideally applicants should also have:
- Degree qualified in engineering, project management or equivalent
- Line management experience

Role information:

- Provide assistance and support to the supply chain manager
- Provide advice to the procurement team in the delivery of objectives
- Provide a quality procurement & supply chain service that is compliant with the lifecycle requirements
- Help deliver multiple procurement projects simultaneously, ensuring contracts protect from unnecessary risks
- Act as a link between Portfolio delivery teams, the procurement team and the suppliers to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner
