This role is a fantastic opportunity to work with boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate, and severe autistic spectrum disorders, as well as associated complex learning needs, challenging behaviour, and/or anxiety.

The Role

As a Teacher of SEND, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEND.
  • Provide a positive, structured, and safe learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the school's multidisciplinary team, including TAs, therapists, and pastoral staff.
  • Support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure all students reach their potential.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • QTS or QTLS (essential).
  • Proven experience teaching students with SEND, either in a specialist setting or mainstream school.
  • A strong understanding of autism and associated learning needs.
  • The ability to manage and support challenging behaviour effectively.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
