The Organisation: Empower Housing - Housing Manager

Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by Empower Housing Association to support them with the recruitment of a Housing Manager. This is a new vacancy which is part of a pro-active and positive review of their operations to ensure they have the right resources and skills to deliver the best possible services to tenants and meet regulatory and legal requirements.

Empower Housing Association (EHA) was founded in 2003, to provide specialist housing for adults with disabilities enabling them to live independently within their community. EHA work collaboratively with families, Local Authorities and other key stakeholders, to find the right home for their tenants. Currently, EHA provide housing to over 450 tenants.

The Role: Empower Housing - Housing Manager

  • The Housing Manager will lead a small team ensuring the delivery of effective customer focussed housing management services ensuring tenants have a voice in shaping services.
  • You will ensure regulatory and legal compliance and continuous improvement in the standard of customer service and housing management across the organisation delivering high levels of tenant satisfaction and value for money services.

The Person: Empower Housing - Housing Manager

  • Professional Housing related qualification i.e. HNC in Housing / CIH level 3-4 or QBE and willing to work towards a qualification - E
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within housing management in the social housing sector - E
  • Knowledge and understanding of the specialist social housing sector and the environment in which we operate - with an understanding of statutory services and commissioning - D
  • Proven experience of leading a high performing team within a challenging environment - E
  • Evidence of a commitment to excellent customer relations - E
  • Sound working knowledge of tenancy management legislation and the range of tools and powers available to Landlords in managing tenancies - E
  • Experience of key performance indicators producing clear reports and analysis - E
  • Full UK Driving Licence - E
