SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Chorley Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Type: Full-Time Salary: Competitive, based on experience Prospero Teaching are working with a leading SEN school committed to providing exceptional education and support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Their inclusive environment fosters growth, learning, and development for all their students. Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support the diverse student body. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with a variety of SEN additional needs, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Speech and Language Difficulties. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met. Assist in the implementation of Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs). Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitor and report on student progress. Support students in developing social skills and independence. Requirements: Previous experience working as an SEN TA or in a similar role. Knowledge of various SEN additional needs and strategies to support them. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN. Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable).
