About Us:

Spencer Clarke Group is delighted to partner with a 'Good' graded primary school in the Chorley area. We are seeking a nurturing and confident Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team for the entire academic year starting in September 2024. This role requires a teacher who is experienced in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as there are multiple pupils with diagnoses in the class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils, with particular attention to those with SEND.
  • Assess and record pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and enjoyment.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for pupils with SEND.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for pupils with SEND.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Newly qualified teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
  • Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and SEND best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
