A Primary School in Chorley, PR7 are looking for an individual who can lead the PE lessons, as well as be a perfect role model for pupils who are disengaged with their studies. We are recruiting for an individual to work in the classroom environment during the mornings, providing 1:1 support for the children as well as taking children outside for small breaks and small sports activities to allow them to blow off steam. In the afternoons the successful candidate will lead the PE lessons for all age groups. There is also opportunity to organise and run after school sports clubs also. You will be tasked with the following roles and responsibilities: Provide opportunities to progress academically, socially and emotionally Leading by example as a role model Leading sports and activity sessions Delivering the PE lessons in the afternoon Have an understanding of individuals personalities and needs Offer guidance and mentoring Have an understanding/interest in sports Provide a safe environment to learn Deal with any challenging or disruptive behaviour Offer advice and support Develop self-confidence, positive self-image and independence Fully compliant in safeguarding policies and procedures This small mainstream school has a very nurturing environment giving you the chance to really have an impact and create a relationship with the students.
