My client are a leading civil engineering contractor operating throughout the UK. They deliver projects across all aspects of civil engineering including roads and highways, utilities, and rail.

Due to sustained growth, they are recruiting for a Bid Writer to join their business.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist the commercial team in all facets of the tendering and business development process.

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Overseeing the daily administration of the tendering process, from identifying opportunities to submission.
  • Managing various tender portals, including downloading information, handling messages, and submitting completed tenders.
  • Collaborating with the commercial team to ensure bid and proposal documents are professionally formatted, collated, and presented.
  • Developing and maintaining a library of tender and PQQ information, including standard company information, model submissions, and project case studies.
  • Keeping CML's in-house tender database updated with pricing submissions.
  • Assisting in the development of client presentations.
  • Reviewing corporate and public sector tendering sites/portals for opportunities that meet the agreed potential client criteria and completing necessary company registration information.
  • Collaborating with other teams within the business, supporting their roles, learning new skills, and exploring future career growth opportunities.
