New exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker, Permanent, Leyland.

Generous benefits and rewarding opportunity for someone with experience of working in a supervisory role with adults with severe learning disability and complex needs.

Working for an established provider of care and support to adults with profound and severe learning disability and complex needs, we are seeking a skilled Senior Support Worker to work at their residential Leyland service.

The role:

  • To support and lead a team of Support workers providing support with rotas, support plans and risk assessments
  • Provide support in the absence of the manager and with any performance related tasks including monitoring of absences, support planning
  • Adhere to any policies and procedures and ensure all records are accurately produced and up to date
  • Be involved in supporting of the residents and with daily activities and personal care duties.
  • Be aware of CQC legislation and standards.

The ideal Candidate:

  • You will ideally have experience of working in a similar setting and have knowledge of supporting adults with complex needs and severe learning disability
  • You will hold a minimum of the NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Supervisory experience and of leading a team
  • You will be a professional and committed person with the ability to lead a team and work in a person centred way.
  • Flexible to be able to work shifts and on a rota basis with some on call duties.
