If you’re someone with a solid technical background and a continuous improvement mindset, this role provides the perfect platform to influence and enhance financial practices in an evolving business.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

Supporting statutory obligations, ensuring compliance and accuracy
Developing and implementing new controls, policies and procedures to streamline financial operations
Focusing on audit and statutory accounts production, with potential involvement in group companies over time
Contributing to monthly financial reporting, producing and analysing financial reporting decks and bridging results after management accounts
Handling compliance reporting requirements for the organisation’s lenders
Collaborating closely with the Finance Director

What you will need:

To be a qualified accountant – ACCA / ACA / CIMA
Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Reporting Accountant / Financial Accountant / Finance Manager / Audit Senior
A background in and deep understanding of technical accounting, including producing statutory accounts
A continuous improvement mindset with an eye for spotting improvements
Experience in an accounting practice and/or the logistics / freight sector would be ideal
