Location: Dorset

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Contract: Fulltime, Permanent (37 hours per week)

 

 

Overview

 

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in a challenging aerospace environment. This role focuses on ensuring product quality and compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and maintain high-quality outputs.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and improve AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Review and release conforming products with accurate documentation (Certificates of Conformance).
  • Conduct audits, support new product introductions, and lead failure investigations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and inspection teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Champion a 'right-first-time' approach to enhance product excellence and drive continuous improvement.
  • Train apprentices and assist in maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

 

 

Required Experience

 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in aerospace.
  • Proficiency in AS9100/NADCAP standards and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Skilled in using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Internal auditing experience and HNC/HND qualification in engineering or related discipline.
