A Part Time Bookkeeper is being recruited exclusively by Bond Williams Recruitment for an established and successful business based in Christchurch. This would be for approx 21 hours over either 3 full days or over 4 or 5 days and it would be all office based.
- Working with the Management Accountant you will have responsibility for:
- Daily processing and reconciling financial transactions
- Maintaining the purchase ledger including processing BACs payment runs
- Managing the sales ledger including a small amount of credit control
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
- Dealing with any accounts queries and resolving any issues in a timely manner
- Assisting with some elements of the annual audit
You will need to have previous bookkeeping/accounts experience (3 years min) and a part or full AAT qualification would be ideal. Experience of using Excel would be essential and knowledge of Xero would be a distinct advantage but is not essential. As you will be working in a very small, but friendly team, you will need to be able to work well with others, be approachable and have a friendly demeanour.
