Job Title: Sous Chef

Location: Christchurch, Dorset

Hours: 45 hours per week - 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis

Salary: £36,270 per annum

Our client based in Christchurch has an immediate requirement for an experienced Sous Chef to join their established and award-winning team. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Head chef in leading the team to maintain a high standard of service at all times.
  • To ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and Food safety is maintained at all times.
  • To produce all dishes to a high standard upon presentation of the recipe.
  • To ensure all areas are clean and tidy after service.
  • To ensure all dishes are served at the correct portion size, quality and temperature.
  • Jointly responsible for preparing kitchen cleaning rotas, supervising cleaning schedules and signing off on a weekly basis.

Applicants must have at least 5 years of kitchen experience to sous chef or Senior CDP level, an NVQ Level 2 catering hospitality and a Level 3 in food safety or above would be a distinct advantage.

This position is offered on a full-time and permanent basis and has a starting salary of £36,270 per annum. Benefits include 29 days holiday per annum, free uniform, free meals on duty and discounted rates on rooms, food and drinks.
