Job Title: CNC Miller Setter Operator

Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm

Rate: £15 - 18 p/h

The Job

  • This role will primarily be linked to setting and operating a Mazak i600 5 axis milling machine with Mazatrol controls, programming ability is desirable but not essential. On occasion two machines may be required to be run at the same time. Mainly Aerospace and Defence work with low batch volumes.
  • Operate 5 axis CNC milling machines to produce components according to specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate machining.
  • Set up and adjust 5 axis CNC machines for optimal performance.
  • Assemble finished products as required, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Utilise hand tools effectively for various tasks related to machining.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform basic maths calculations to verify measurements and tolerances.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a 5 axis CNC Machinist.
  • Familiarity with materials handling processes and techniques.
  • Ability to use hand tools accurately and safely.
  • Basic maths skills for measurement verification and calculations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
