Aspire Jobs is pleased to be working exclusively with our client who are one the UKs leading manufacturers of transformers, inductors, and special purpose wound components. They are currently looking for a Coil Winder/Assembler to join their fast-growing production team.

The position will involve coil winding and assembling small to medium sized electro/mechanical assemblies as well as Electrical testing. Previous experience in a similar role and industry is essential, although full training and support can be provided if required.

The successful Coil Winder will: -

Understand Health & Safety policies

Have previous experience as an electrical tester

IPC Qualification modules 1,2 & 5 is (desirable but not essential)

Have previous coil winding / assembly experience

Understand Resin and Varnish procedures (desirable not essential)

Be able to work with small production tools, components and equipment

Have good eyesight, colour vision and an eye for detail

Have strong communication skills both verbal and written

Capable of working in a team and building strong relationships

Be able to follow specifications including standard working procedures

Flexible, organised and willing to learn different aspects of the production process.

Coil Winder job duties & key responsibilities: -

Test and ensure that products and assemblies are manufactured in accordance with company documentation and quality standards

Undertake work both individually and as part of a team to achieve daily targets

Use and maintain production equipment in a safe and professional manner

Complete Batch Cards and always maintain traceability

Be able to assemble and wire to specification

Linear and Toroidal winding

Develop an understanding and strong knowledge of the processes, tools and equipment

  • Engage in problem solving and continual improvement
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the working environment.
