About the Graduate Teaching Assistant position:
Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic and passionate graduates who are looking to gain classroom experience before starting teacher training. These are long-term placements to start ASAP, as well as September 2024.
This is a highly rewarding role. The school are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships. You will be assisting the teacher and supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis.

- A stepping stone to salaried routes to obtain qualified teacher status. We have links with teacher training providing providers where you can obtain QTS with no tuition fees.
Contract details for the Graduate Teaching Assistant position:
- Location - Christchurch
- Position - Full Time Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Start date - ASAP and January 2025
- School hours - 8:30 am to 3:30pm, term-time only
- Contract - Full-Time / Part-Time
- Minimum rate of pay - 85 per day
About the successful Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- No experience needed as full training will be provided.
- You should hold a recent degree.
- You will have a passion for education and a can-do attitude.
- You will be an excellent role model for young people.
- You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.
To be eligible the Graduate Teaching Assistant must have/be:
- Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
- A positive attitude and desire to maintain current standards and raise attainment across the school.
- Lots of energy and enthusiasm.
- The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun.
- Excellent communication skills.
