Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the production team, ensuring operational efficiency and achievement of KPIs.
- Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation to meet customer demand.
- Drive on-time delivery (OTIF) performance, ensuring orders are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Implement 5S, Six Sigma, and KAIZEN methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Monitor and optimise productivity rates, quality control processes, and cost efficiencies.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to streamline production processes.
- Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing production team, ensuring training and progression opportunities.
- Oversee facility maintenance and health & safety regulations.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Manufacturing/Production Manager role within the aerospace sector.
- HNC/HND (or higher) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering - an apprenticeship is a plus!
- Lean manufacturing expertise, including 5S, Six Sigma, and KAIZEN methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Materials Science.
