Senior/Principal Drainage Engineer
Christchurch, Dorset
Salary: 40,000 - 65,000

I'm working with a well-established independent consultancy known for its integrated approach to infrastructure design. Due to a growing portfolio of development and infrastructure schemes, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer to join their Christchurch team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports to support planning applications
  • Undertake drainage and levels design using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microdrainage/Flow
  • Lead client engagement and manage third-party relationships
  • Prepare fee proposals and support business development
  • Attend meetings, public consultations, and site visits
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including environmental specialists, on design and CEMPs

What They're Looking For:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or similar (minimum 2:1)
  • Proficient in relevant design software and technical report writing
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills with a commercial mindset
  • Ideally working towards or already holding IEng/CEng status
