Senior/Principal Drainage Engineer
Christchurch, Dorset
Salary: 40,000 - 65,000
I'm working with a well-established independent consultancy known for its integrated approach to infrastructure design. Due to a growing portfolio of development and infrastructure schemes, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer to join their Christchurch team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports to support planning applications
- Undertake drainage and levels design using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microdrainage/Flow
- Lead client engagement and manage third-party relationships
- Prepare fee proposals and support business development
- Attend meetings, public consultations, and site visits
- Collaborate with internal teams, including environmental specialists, on design and CEMPs
What They're Looking For:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or similar (minimum 2:1)
- Proficient in relevant design software and technical report writing
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with a commercial mindset
- Ideally working towards or already holding IEng/CEng status
