Overview

Join an innovative and dedicated company known for producing high-quality products featured in major UK retailers and online. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of food products.

Role Purpose

As a Graduate Product Developer, you will focus on R&D innovation and renovation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and align with the company's strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing and other stakeholders to create food briefs.
  • Ensure new products are scaled up and implemented according to briefs, working with supply partners and other functions.
  • Develop and deliver food products that meet consumer, brand, and business needs, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including sustainability, suitability assessments, and shelf-life standards.
  • Test and evaluate alternative raw materials for cost savings and contingency planning; attend factory trials and launches.
  • Contribute to problem resolution and continuous improvement efforts.

About You

  • A degree in food science and at least 1 year of experience in the food sector.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, children's foods, and industry regulations.
  • Strong background in processing raw materials.
  • Creative, self-motivated, and a natural problem solver.
  • Effective team player with project leadership skills.
  • Experience in product development, nutrition, and food technology.
  • Open to customer feedback and able to respond productively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.

More Details

This is a 12-18 month fixed-term contract based on the South Coast, with a hybrid working arrangement (2 days on-site, 3 days remote). The role offers a competitive salary of £32,000 - £42,000, dependent on experience. The working week is Monday to Friday.
