As a Cover Supervisor, you will take charge of supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that students remain focused, engaged, and on-task during lessons.

Role: Flexible Cover Supervisor
Location: Christchurch
Salary Range: £120 - £150 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate or January 2025

Essential Skills and Qualities that we are looking from you:

• Supervise classes and ensure that students are engaged and on-task during lessons.
• Follow and implement lesson plans provided by the absent teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Assist students with their learning as required, ensuring they understand and follow instructions.
• Maintain a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to step into various subjects and year groups.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
• Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
