Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a history of working with children with Special Educational Needs or complex behavioural needs? Perhaps you are a university graduate seeking to gain further experience working with SEN pupils in a school environment? This could be the perfect opportunity for you.

GSL Education are currently working closely with local mainstream primary schools in the Christchurch area to help support their recruitment of SEN Support Assistants. We are looking for a proactive, adaptable and committed individual who is very patient and understanding of challenging behaviour, and able to respond effectively to the individual needs of the pupils. Experience in a school environment is desirable but work experience that can be transferable is also beneficial.


This Role includes:
- Supporting the teaching and learning of pupils with SEN or SEMH needs, often on a 1:1 basis
- Working closely with pupils that display challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties
- Working in classrooms supporting Teachers and fellow Teaching Assistants 
- Full time is preferred, but part time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available
- Hours 8:30am-3:30pm

  • Have the right to work in the UK.

  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
