Our client, a leading company in Dubai, is looking for an experienced Buyer to support their business by sourcing and procuring goods / services to drive their projects forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Engagement: Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations (RFQ), negotiating terms and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Inventory & Order Management: Monitor stock levels of raw materials, components, and consumable items, maintaining safety stock to ensure smooth operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Finance, Logistics, and Project Managers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services in line with project schedules.
• Project Support: Provide costing data and historical insights for project review and bid processes.
• Supplier Performance: Monitor and assess supplier performance, working to improve lead times and costs.
• Market Research: Assist R&D teams in identifying global alternatives for sourcing materials.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 5+ years in purchasing, commercial, or supply chain roles.
• Experience in composite materials is a plus.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of ERP systems (preferably MS Dynamics AX).
• Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate favourable terms and pricing with suppliers.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse and report on procurement data.
• Attention to Detail: Well-organised and reliable with a keen eye for detail.
• Quality Management: Familiarity with ISO quality management systems.
