Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Business Studies/Economics Teacher to join our secondary school in Christchurch. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to Key Stage 4 and 5 students, inspiring them to achieve their full potential in both Business Studies and Economics. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on students' learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies and Economics for GCSE and A-Level students
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual growth
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum materials and share best practices
- Prepare students for exams and ensure they meet or exceed expected academic outcomes
- Participate in extracurricular activities, including clubs, workshops, and trips related to Business and Economics
- Engage with parents and carers to communicate student progress and areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Business Studies and Economics at secondary level, particularly at GCSE and A-Level
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment
- Ability to start immediately and commit to a full-time teaching role
