I am looking for a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a Christchurch based Aerospace manufacturer, to help assisting with the production of sheet details to customer drawings and tooling.

Sheet Metal Fabricator Responsibilities:

  • Metal forming and bending using equipment to bend and form metal sheets into required shapes.
  • Employing welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering techniques to join metal parts securely.
  • Hand forming double curvature aluminium and steel aircraft parts.
  • Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Aligning and assembling fabricated parts to create complete components or structures.
  • Accurately measuring and marking dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets

Sheet Metal Fabricator Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in metallic areas, sheet metal forming, welding, resistance welding, and aerospace assembly structures.
  • Experience in Aerospace manufacturing.
  • Ability to read aircraft drawings and specifications.
