Experienced Behaviour Support Assistant

Start date: Immediate start desired, October starts possible

GSL Education are seeking an Experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a local mainstream primary school situated in Christchurch. This role centres around supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), largely on a one-to-one and small group basis, so that the pupils can access the learning and receive the tailored support and provision that they need. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality SEN provision, knowledge on a range of effective behaviour management strategies, and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of the pupils with confidence and resilience.

Having experience within a school setting is crucial, as well as having experience working with children with SEN or complex additional learning and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will have the ability to support the class teacher to engage learners, meet individual needs, and communicate effectively with the pupils they are working with.

The role is available for an immediate start, Monday to Friday, 8:30-15:30 with a lunch break. The position is term-time only, and initially a temporary position but with scope to become permanent if successful.
