This SEMH School is an innovative educational establishment dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and various other needs including trauma, school phobia Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD). All learners have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).聽The schools mission is to nurture the potential of every child, empowering them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are seeking a passionate and committed KS3 Teacher to join our dynamic team.

The Role:
We are looking for a talented KS3 Teacher who is eager to make a positive difference in the lives of our students. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 3 curriculum, while also incorporating elements of the primary curriculum where needed. You will work closely with students who have a variety of SEMH challenges, and you will need to create an inclusive learning environment that caters to diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across the KS3 and primary curriculum.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of students.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to support emotional and academic growth.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to encourage improvement.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including SENCOs and therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture that promotes inclusion and celebrates diversity.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching KS3, preferably with a background in SEMH contexts.
  • Knowledge of the primary curriculum is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students who may have experienced trauma or difficulties.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
  • Ability to develop creative and engaging teaching strategies tailored to individual learning needs.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches.
