We are currently collaborating with a school in the Forest of Dean to find an Early Years General Teaching Assistant.Role Overview:
- Work collaboratively as part of the EYFS team and Pre-School.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the onsite Pre-School.
- Deliver high-quality learning and development experiences to children aged 3-4 years.
Responsibilities:
- Work in the Breakfast Club every morning (7:30am-8:30am) and the After School Club for 3 or 4 days a week (3:00pm-5:30pm).
- Safeguard the well-being of the children in the setting.
- Have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and its overarching principles.
- Read, understand, and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting.
- As a Key Person, ensure the children's records are current and well-maintained.
- Respond to the needs, thoughts, ideas, and interests of the children to help them flourish.
- Adjust practice and provision 'in the moment' to build on children's current interests.
- Support all team members fully and professionally.
- Develop positive and warm relationships with all children in your care.
- Enhance your role within the team by sharing your expertise to improve practice and provision.
- Contribute to raising the profile of the Pre-School and play an active role in the wider school community.
