We are currently collaborating with a school in the Forest of Dean to find an Early Years General Teaching Assistant.Role Overview:

  • Work collaboratively as part of the EYFS team and Pre-School.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the onsite Pre-School.
  • Deliver high-quality learning and development experiences to children aged 3-4 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in the Breakfast Club every morning (7:30am-8:30am) and the After School Club for 3 or 4 days a week (3:00pm-5:30pm).
  • Safeguard the well-being of the children in the setting.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and its overarching principles.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting.
  • As a Key Person, ensure the children's records are current and well-maintained.
  • Respond to the needs, thoughts, ideas, and interests of the children to help them flourish.
  • Adjust practice and provision 'in the moment' to build on children's current interests.
  • Support all team members fully and professionally.
  • Develop positive and warm relationships with all children in your care.
  • Enhance your role within the team by sharing your expertise to improve practice and provision.
  • Contribute to raising the profile of the Pre-School and play an active role in the wider school community.
