This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join a small team and hit the ground running in a collaborative environment! You will work closely with 2 other Business Analysts who are more junior as well as a lead making you a team of 4. You will be working in a waterfall environment.

Your responsibilities will include gathering, documenting and obtaining appropriate approval of requirements and business processes including delivery of business analysis and work estimates/planning support. You will work with the team to investigate issues and lead business analysts workshops, identify and develop/propose recommendations for improvement and drive activity within internal teams and 3rd party suppliers in line with business outcomes.

You will show the team the ropes with regards to all things business-analyst related. You will explain how the process is done in different companies and lead larger projects effectively. You will be expected to communicate with all levels within the business. You will be financially/numerically minded. You will get to make a big impact on BA processes, as the current ones are in their infancy! This is an exciting time to shape the team and have your voice heard. You will have knowledge of an FCA regulated environment.

Essential experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in a transformation environment.
  • Experience of new system, new products & service launches
  • Full lifecycle business analysis experience in a software delivery and business change environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the Society.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Methodical and well organised
  • Consultative approach, with the ability to simplify and articulate complex issues to a range of stakeholders.
  • Influencing and relationship building skills
  • Ability to effectively manage workload across multiple activities

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within the Financial Services sector
  • Experience of working on finance/banking or accountancy projects
  • Experience of commission processing
  • Knowledge of the mutual business model
  • Ability to prepare and present business updates, reports and requests for approval effectively to senior audiences.
  • Experience of Jira
