Our client is looking for a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join their team! This role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various CNC milling machines, including Mazak, Bridgeport, and Brother 5-axis and 3-axis machines, using Mazatrol, Heidenhain, and Fanuc controls.

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter/Operator

  • Set and operate CNC milling machine tools.
  • Set up tooling and fixturing as per set-up sheets.
  • Monitor tool life and ensure efficient operation.
  • Verify standards of manufacture using measuring equipment.
  • Obtain First Off inspection approval for every operation.
  • Accurately log operation times in real-time via the Shop Floor Data Capture system.
  • Work safely and follow all health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong background in sub-contract CNC manufacturing.
  • Previous experience in CNC machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using Mazatrol, Heidenhain, and Fanuc controls.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
