We are delighted to be working with this rapidly expanding mutual society, who have experienced some impressive growth recently, and have a leadership team in place to make sure this continues and have big plans for the future, meaning there is some great opportunities at the moment for hard working and career minded people who want to join them on this journey. They are now looking for a Trainee Medical Underwriter to join them to learn how to underwrite income protection risks.

You will receive full training to be able to review new customer applications for the Society’s products (Income protection and critical illness insurance products). You will deal with applications for contracts with the Society and applications to amend contracts, considering all risk factors, preparing draft underwriting decisions for review by an Underwriter as well as carrying out any reasonable tasks as requested by the Senior Underwriter, Underwriting Manager, Chief Underwriter or member of the Senior Management Team.

You will ideally need some office based experience or be a graduate looking for a superb career opportunity. Those with some form of financial services experience would also be encouraged to apply.

Office hours are 8:45am to 5pm and the salary on offer is £26-30,000, depending on experience including all the benefits mentioned above, with them offering hybrid working. (You will need to be in the office 2/3 days a week)
