About the Transport Manager Role:

  • Monday to Friday - No weekends!
  • 40 hours per week, between 7.30am-5pm
  • Salary is £35K per annum + Bonus of up to £1500 per annum
  • 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)
  • Permanent role
  • Based near Cirencester (own transport required due to location)

Duties / Responsibilities for the Transport Manager role:

  • Managinga fleet of up to 10 vans and drivers
  • Liaise and manage third party logistics companies
  • Responsible forday-to day planning of the operation to ensure sufficient resource is in place
  • Manage the performance and compliance of the vans and drivers
  • Lead and develop the Transport team with a focus on communication, engagement, training and regular feedback
  • Responsible for the implementation and control of the Health & Safety standards across the site
  • Reporting and completion of relevant documentation
  • Support the senior management team with daily management of performance management versus SLA, budgeting & cost control and forward planning

Key Skills / Experience required for the Transport Manager role:

  • Clean UK driving licence is essential
  • Proven experience of managing or supervising a fleet of vans in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of Driving Working Time regulations & Compliance management
  • National CPC Road Haulage qualification is highly desirable or a willingness to study for it.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams
